Full Journal pdf2015-04-02 House Journal Page 0689 HB 149 The following, which was advanced to third reading from the April 1, 2015, calendar (page 664), was read the third time: HOUSE BILL NO. 149 "An Act relating to an amendment of the articles of incorporation of certain Native corporations to establish a lower quorum requirement for shareholder meetings." Representative Kito moved and asked unanimous consent that HB 149 be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering amendments. There being no objection, it was so ordered. 2015-04-02 House Journal Page 0690 The Speaker stated that, without objection, HB 149 would be returned to second reading for all amendments. Amendment Nos. 1 and 2 were not offered. Amendment No. 3 was offered by Representatives Kito, Pruitt, Edgmon, and Foster: Page 1, lines 9 - 11: Delete "The Native corporation may adopt the amendment allowed under this subsection by the affirmative vote of a majority of the shares represented at a meeting at which a quorum is present in person or by proxy." Insert "An amendment under this subsection is approved if it receives an affirmative vote of two-thirds of the shares represented in person or by proxy at an annual meeting." Representative Kito moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 3 be adopted. There being no objection, it was so ordered. HB 149 am was automatically in third reading. Representatives Foster, Millett, Edgmon, Nageak, and Kito moved and asked unanimous consent that they be allowed to abstain from voting because of a conflict of interest. Objection was heard, and the members were required to vote. Representative Millett moved and asked unanimous consent that Representative Keller be excused from a call of the House today. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The question being: "Shall HB 149 am pass the House?"
